Tournament at Avalon (engl.)

Beschreibung

Tournament at Avalon invites players to the mythical land where Excalibur was forged, expanding on the original game’s innovative mechanics with new characters, cards, and gameplay elements. It offers a rich experience that balances traditional combat with opportunities for informal diplomacy and alliances.

Players take on the role of legendary heroes, using weapon cards such as Arrows, Swords, Deception, Sorcery, and Alchemy to battle opponents. Injuring your rivals improves your standing in the tournament, but even those severely wounded can stage a comeback with the help of Godsend cards and their unique Companions. The trick-taking game concludes when a player is injured to the point of defeat, and the combatant with the most remaining health wins the tournament.

The game also introduces cards featuring the famous enchantress Morgan Le Fay and a new set of Location panels that provide additional benefits to the player hosting a tournament round. For those who own both Tournament at Avalon and Tournament at Camelot, it’s possible to combine cards and rulesets, creating an epic “Chaos of Battle” tournament experience for up to seven or eight players.
