Description

Tricky Traps is a family game for 2 to 5 players aged 10+. Score points by winning tricks through drafting and playing cards, but keep them carefully. Organize won cards by trap type, where only the lowest cards count and consecutive runs cancel out, creating a strategic balance of risk and reward over three rounds.

In Tricky Traps, scoring points is easy — keeping them is the real challenge. Played over three rounds, each round begins with drafting nine cards in sets of three. These cards are then played in tricks, where the highest card wins. The twist lies in setting traps: the trick winner collects all cards won, organizing them by trap type in their scoring zone. Only the lowest cards count for points, while consecutive runs cancel each other out. Every trick requires careful balancing of risk and reward. You’ll gather plenty of points, but don’t expect to hold on to them all.
