Trismegistus (engl.)

Description

Trismegistus is a strategy game for 1 to 4 players aged 14+. Assume the role of 19th-century alchemy scholars uncovering Hermes Trismegistus' legendary notes. Conduct experiments, transmute metals, and use artifacts over three rounds to publish research, master primal elements, and progress toward creating the Philosopher’s Stone in a streamlined, immersive gameplay.

In the 19th century, alchemy was seen as a mysterious blend of ancient wisdom and emerging scientific knowledge. Though its golden age has passed, the quest to harness the laws of nature and create the Philosopher’s Stone still captivates those who dare to follow in the footsteps of Hermes Trismegistus. As a new generation of researchers, you seek forbidden knowledge and immense power, viewed by some with fear and by others with admiration. In Trismegistus, players assume the role of these 19th-century scholars who have uncovered the legendary notes of Hermes Trismegistus. Over the course of three rounds—symbolizing years of doctoral study—they conduct experiments, transmute metals, and utilize mysterious artifacts in their pursuit to master alchemy. Success is measured by the research published, the understanding of primal elements, and progress toward creating the Philosopher’s Stone. This new edition streamlines the gameplay, making the mechanics more accessible without sacrificing depth, allowing players to fully immerse themselves in the alchemical journey.
