Votes for Women (engl.) is a strategy game for 1 to 4 players aged 12+ with a playing time of 60 to 75 minutes. Players engage in the American women's suffrage movement from 1848 to 1920, competing or cooperating to ratify the Nineteenth Amendment by campaigning and organizing across states.
Votes for Women is a card-driven game that explores the American women’s suffrage movement from 1848 to 1920, culminating in the ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment. Players use cards to advance events, campaign in states, or organize support for suffrage.
The game unfolds over six turns divided into three historical periods: 1848–1890, 1890–1919, and 1919–1920. One player represents the supporters of the amendment, aiming to secure ratification by 36 out of 48 states. The opposing player, or the automated Oppo-bot in solitaire mode, works to achieve 13 states rejecting the amendment. Votes for Women can also be played cooperatively by two players teaming up against the Oppo-bot.
