Commands & Colors Ancients (7th printing) (engl.) is a Kennerspiel for 2 players aged 12+ with a playing time of 60 minutes. Re-fight epic ancient battles between Carthage and Rome, commanding units through strategic card orders. Experience the fog of war and tactical challenges across historic battles like Cannae and Zama, where your decisions determine victory.

Commands & Colors: Ancients lets you relive legendary battles from the ancient world, focusing on the rivalry between Carthage and Rome in the Western Mediterranean. Take command as Hannibal and attempt to overcome the larger Roman forces, or lead Scipio Africanus and deploy new tactics to defeat Hannibal. Units must be ordered to move and fight using command cards, which introduce an element of chance that simulates the fog of war. Strategic use of these cards creates both challenges and opportunities, requiring careful planning to seize the advantage. Success depends on how well you manage your diverse units, their weapons, and the battlefield terrain. This edition includes scenarios based on the historic battles of Akragas, Crimissos River, Ticinus River, Lake Trasimene, Cannae, Dertosa, Castulo, Baecula, Ilipa, and Zama.
