Description

In 1910, the UK was home to over 120 private railways, leading to fierce competition. During World War I, the government took control of these railways to support the war effort. After the war, the Railways Act of 1921 forced a consolidation of railways into fewer, more efficient companies. This government-mandated grouping created lucrative opportunities for sharp investors, many of whom gained substantial profits from their initial investments. Players take on the roles of investors, managers, and railway presidents navigating this turbulent period in British railway history. Success depends on strategic calculation and instinct, as the game involves no element of luck. Designed by Han Heidema, this game offers an intense contest for control and ownership of the railways, challenging 3 to 6 players to amass vast wealth.
