Bios: Origins 2nd Edition (engl.)

Beschreibung

Bios: Origins 2nd Edition (engl.) is a strategy game for 1 to 4 players aged 12+ with a playing time of 90 minutes. This reworked edition removes dice and adds new features linking it to Bios:Genesis and Bios:Megafauna. It includes two maps, a hexgrid for custom map building, and categorized cards in Culture, Politics, and Industry, plus a Market.

Bios: Origins 2nd Edition reimagines the original Origins game, preserving its innovative bottom-up approach to civilization development while introducing new features that connect it to its predecessors, Bios: Genesis and Bios: Megafauna (second edition). Dice have been removed, but the classic map remains a central element. The game includes two maps: a traditional Earth map and a more open ocean map. On the reverse side of the game board, a hex grid enables players to create custom maps. This grid can be used with the punch-out hexes from Bios: Origins to build new scenarios or to reconstruct the cratons from a Bios: Megafauna end state, ideal for those playing the trilogy campaign. Additionally, the empty ocean map is compatible for use within Bios: Megafauna games. Cards are organized into three categories—Culture, Politics, and Industry—and the gameplay now features a Market mechanism. Designed by Phil Eklund and Jon Manker.
