Centurion (engl.)

Beschreibung

Players begin Centurion by placing their Centurion tile on one of the two central squares on their side of the board, flanked by two Legionnaires. Each turn, a player may choose to either draw a new tile from the bag at random or move an existing tile already in play. At the heart of the game are the innovative double-sided PROFILE SYSTEM tiles. Each side of these tiles shows a different posture—often categorized as offensive or defensive—defining the actions a piece can take during its turn. After moving or using a special ability, the tile is flipped to reveal its alternate profile, changing the options for movement and attack. Movement and attack types are indicated by symbols: a full circle represents a standard Move, a hollow circle the Jump, an arrow the Slide, a star a special Strike ability, among others. The goal is to defend your troops while maneuvering to capture your opponent’s Duke, Jarl, or Centurion tiles. With thirteen double-sided Soldier tiles and a total of nineteen pieces per player, each game presents unique challenges and strategic possibilities. Players can also enjoy asymmetric play by choosing sets from The Duke, Jarl, or Centurion armies, enabling battles across all three factions. This variety ensures replayability and fresh tactical depth with every game.
