Codenames: Duet 10th-Anniversary Edition (2025) (engl.) is a family game for 2 players aged 11+ with a playing time of 15 minutes. This cooperative version of the classic word-guessing game features a revised word list, beautiful art, and a streamlined rulebook. Players work together to find all secret agents in a 5×5 grid using one-word clues, avoiding assassins before time runs out.

Codenames celebrates its 10th anniversary with a refreshed edition that keeps the beloved gameplay intact while introducing a cooperative twist. In Codenames: Duet, two players (or more for a group experience) team up as operatives on a shared mission to identify all their secret agents hidden in a 5×5 grid of word cards. Unlike the original competitive format, here you work together, relying on one-word clues paired with numbers to guide each other toward the right words. Each player sees only part of the key card that reveals which words are agents, which are assassins, and which are innocent bystanders. Taking turns, you give clues and make guesses, aiming to find all 15 agents without uncovering an assassin. The game unfolds over 9 turns, extendable to 11 for a more relaxed challenge. This edition features a revised word list with 400 new cards, striking new artwork, a streamlined rulebook for easier teaching, and a custom insert to keep everything organized. Codenames: Duet offers a fresh, engaging cooperative experience while retaining the clever deduction and thrilling “aha!” moments that fans love.
