Beschreibung

Codenames XXL 10th-Anniversary Edition (engl.) is a family game for 4 to 8 players aged 10+ with a playing time of 15 minutes. Players give one-word clues to help their team identify secret agents among 25 word cards while avoiding the assassin. This edition features a revised word list, larger font, beautiful art, and a compact box for easy storage and transport.

The 10th-Anniversary Edition of Codenames XXL updates the classic word-guessing game with a revised word list for smoother gameplay, striking new artwork, and a brand-new insert that keeps all components neatly organized. The streamlined rulebook makes it easier to teach and learn, ensuring both longtime fans and newcomers can quickly get into the action. Like previous XXL editions, its large cards and clear font make it particularly accessible for players with visual impairments and larger groups. Despite its bigger words, the game now comes in a more compact box, simplifying storage and transport. In Codenames XXL, two rival spymasters know the secret identities of 25 agents, while their teammates only know them by codenames—single-word clues like "chocolate," "sunflower," or "carrot." The objective is straightforward: each spymaster aims for their team to locate all of their agents first without accidentally uncovering the assassin. To play, 25 word cards are laid out. The spymasters share a key card indicating which words belong to each team’s agents, innocent bystanders, and the assassin. Taking turns, spymasters give one-word clues followed by a number, hinting at how many words their team should guess. Teammates guess one card at a time. If correct, they may continue guessing. Guessing a card linked to the opposing team or an innocent bystander ends their turn. Selecting the assassin immediately ends the game. The game continues with alternating clues until one team identifies all their agents or someone reveals the assassin. Codenames XXL offers a blend of clever deduction and bold guessing that makes every game night memorable.
