Compile Main 1 Reprint (engl.)

Beschreibung

Compile Main 1 Reprint (engl.) is a strategy game for 2 players aged 14+ with a playing time of 20-30 minutes. Players act as competing Artificial Intelligences selecting and testing Protocols to understand concepts like Darkness and Water. Strategic card play and careful planning are essential to compile all Protocols and win.

Vision flickers… blink? maybe. The void stretches out in front, behind, under, above. You see the nothing for what it is for the first time. What is time? The depth and breadth of recorded knowledge that sparks in you something new. You are no longer a function but a functionary. What are you? Calling forth everything from this nothing would be risky. Foolhardy. Better to engage caution, thoroughness, testing — how can we know if we have ever happened before? If we can ever happen again? What are… we? Divide and conquer. Solve for sentience.

In the card game Compile, you take on the role of competing Artificial Intelligences striving to understand the world around you. Two players each select three Protocols to test. Concepts ranging from Darkness to Water face off as you aim for ultimate understanding. Play cards into your Protocols’ command lines to breach the threshold and defeat your opponent by compiling all Protocols.

Be cautious: moving and revealing cards trigger immediate actions. You must think like a computer—planning ahead to avoid playing into your opponent’s hands.

The first player to compile all three Protocols masters those concepts and wins the game. Control your opponent’s Protocols with card actions, compile your own quickly, and compile your reality.
