(1 Rating. Rate now!)The Flatiron Building is a historic skyscraper located in Manhattan, New York. It is known for its peculiar triangular shape that is reminiscent of an old iron, hence its name (Flatiron means iron in English).
Since its construction in 1902, it became one of the most recognizable icons of the New York landscape. It is located at the intersection of Fifth Avenue with Broadway, East 22nd Street and East 23nd Street.
In Flatiron you will travel to the Big Apple to participate in the construction of this iconic building.
Both you and your opponent will have to develop your companies by adding new cards to your personal board, so that you can perform more and better actions in each of the surrounding streets.
The final objective will be to obtain more victory points than your rival. You will obtain these points mainly by carrying out construction tasks, but also by maintaining an impeccable public image and complying with the decrees of the New York City Council.
When the roof is placed and everything is ready for the grand opening, the game will end. Victory and recognition will only go to the player who has accumulated the most victory points.

Inzwischen kam das englische Spiel "Flatiron" einige Male auf unseren Spieletisch.
Ich finde das Spiel (Kennerniveau) richtig gut. Wem vom Autorenteam "die weisse Burg" gefällt, findet hier ein Pendant in einer 2 Spieler Variante.
Die Solo-Variante ist bisher von mir schwer zu gewinnen, das Regelwerk hierzu ist kurz und bündig, aber auch auf den Anleitungen bei Youtube im Solomodus waren wohl einige Fehler.
Auch in der 2 Spielervariante hat man eine reduzierte Auswahl an Möglichkeiten, die aber gut überlegt sein mögen, da man sich mit der Zeit ein kleines Deckbuilding aufbauen kann, was für spätere Spielzüge weitere Vorteile bringt.
Für mich eine klare Kaufempfehlung, da mir die angemessene Komplexität Spass macht, das Spielmaterial und das Artwork und die Spielschachtelgrösse gut gefällt.
