Imperial Miners is a light engine-building card game designed by Tim Armstrong (Arcana Rising, Orbis), set in the popular Imperial Settlers universe. Players develop their own mines by placing cards into their tableau, starting from the ground floor and building downwards. Each newly added card activates itself and all the cards above it, creating rewarding combos and synergies. The game features six different factions, each offering unique abilities. Players can freely combine factions within their mines to optimize their strategies. Imperial Miners includes a variety of cards and progress tracks that change each game—three tracks are randomly selected from six available during setup. Advancing on these tracks grants immediate benefits that further enhance card combinations. With its elegant activation system and beautiful illustrations, Imperial Miners delivers accessible rules and engaging gameplay filled with satisfying strategic depth.
