Two hundred years ago, the villagers of Kuldhara set fire to their homes and vanished without a trace. As daring treasure hunters, your mission is to explore the ruins, uncover precious gems, and craft exquisite jewelry—before the spirits of Kuldhara’s former inhabitants begin haunting the desert nights. Kuldhara is played over four rounds, where careful management of your water supply is essential to perform actions. Each turn, you may take up to two actions, each requiring a certain amount of water. Move your camel across the board, dig up gemstones, unload collected gems, or reserve a jewelry card to craft later. Unloaded gemstones are placed on your personal rotating workbench, where you create specific patterns to craft the most valuable jewelry. Once you have replicated the pattern shown on a jewelry card, you can craft it by exchanging the corresponding gemstones for the card and the points it grants. When all players run out of water, the sun shifts position and the board rotates, changing travel costs across the desert for the next round. After the fourth round ends with the sunset, the player who has amassed the most valuable jewelry wins the game. Kuldhara also includes a dedicated solo mode featuring a custom board and deck for Kadhan, a spectre haunting the ruins. Kadhan’s turns are straightforward, with multiple difficulty levels, providing tense, close games where every final round decision matters. Rules are available in German and French via QR code or online. The game components are language independent.
