Mega Empires The East (engl.)

Beschreibung

Mega Empires The East invites players to lead ancient civilizations along the Silk Road and the Arabian Peninsula through 8,000 years of history. Beginning in 8000 BC with a small population, players guide their civilizations from the Stone Age to the end of the Iron Age, developing arts, crafts, science, civics, and religion while facing the challenges of expanding cities. Although conflict occurs, the game centers on cultural development, trade, and dealing with calamities such as epidemics, famines, pirate attacks, and civil disorder. Wealth is gained by building cities, represented by trade cards that also include potential calamities. Trading is a key social element, with all players negotiating simultaneously before resolving these events. Players can invest in 51 different advances across five categories, building defenses, fostering cultural achievements, or even constructing wonders of the world. Success depends on balancing trade, cooperation, territorial control, and the ability to withstand natural and human-made disasters over a long and immersive game experience. Compared to Western Empires, Eastern Empires introduces additional components and scenarios that allow balanced games with fewer than five players, and it can be expanded with The Special Buildings Expansion. When combined with Western Empires, the two games create Mega Empires, supporting up to 18 players in an epic gameplay experience spanning the Mediterranean Sea and the Silk Road.
