Mega Empires The West (engl.)

Beschreibung

Mega Empires: The West offers an epic journey through 8,000 years of civilization development around the Mediterranean Sea. Players lead their civilizations from the Stone Age through the Bronze and Iron Ages, managing growth, culture, trade, and the inevitable challenges that come with progress. This game is not a typical war game—while conflicts may occur, the focus lies on historical development, including arts, science, religion, and governance. Starting with a single population token in 8000 BC, players expand their societies, build cities, and navigate natural disasters such as epidemics and earthquakes, as well as civil disturbances like pirate attacks and slave revolts. Trade plays a central role: the more cities a player controls, the more trade cards they receive, providing resources for progress as well as potential calamities. Players can develop up to 51 different technological and cultural advances across five categories, with opportunities to build wonders or spread cultural influence across the map. Success depends on skillfully balancing cooperation, trade, defense, and expansion to withstand the test of time. Mega Empires: The West can be combined with Eastern Empires for an 18-player campaign lasting up to 13 hours, expanding the experience along the Silk Road and Arabian deserts. This bundle includes both standalone games, each supporting 3 to 9 players and expandable with special buildings expansions.
