In Monumental Consequence, players assume the roles of townsfolk in La Ville, where an invading army has seized the local church. Faced with this crisis, they must decide whether to risk everything to attack the church and save its treasured art, or to destroy it by bombing.
Each player has a secret role with unique victory conditions, similar to social deduction games. Through negotiation and voting, the group attempts to reach a collective decision. Should the vote end in a stalemate, a dice-rolling mechanic introduces new complications and triggers a new round. The game continues until one side secures enough votes, after which a final die roll determines the ultimate winner and the consequences of their choice.
