Root The Homeland (Exp.) (engl.) Root The Homeland expands the base game with three new factions—the Lilypad Diaspora, Twilight Council, and Knaves of the Deepwood—and two new maps. It adds fresh strategic depth and political intrigue to the Woodland, enhancing gameplay for 2 to 6 players aged 10 and up, with a playing time of 60-90 minutes.

Rediscover the Woodland with Root: The Homeland expansion, featuring three new factions and two additional maps that deepen the game’s rich strategic landscape. The Lilypad Diaspora: Once scattered and suppressed, they now seek a place in the Woodland. Striving for peace, their warrior training is crucial to avoid aggression amid civil unrest. A single misunderstanding can escalate into fierce retaliation, hardening their militancy and fueling resentment. The Twilight Council: Driven by a desire to end the conflict, this faction brings together all Woodland inhabitants—from humble mice to royal hawks—to focus on political influence rather than sheer military force, shifting the struggle towards passionate debate. The Knaves of the Deepwood: A mysterious band of rogues known for raiding camps and capturing hostages for ransom. Their motives are debated, but their lively celebrations echo through the forest depths where few dare to venture. This expansion requires a copy of the base game Root to play.
