Beschreibung

1861. Civil war erupts across America as Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson Davis compete for the nation’s future. The conflict is as much political as it is military, with both sides aiming to influence the five crucial slave states bordering the main battlegrounds: Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, and West Virginia. Each of these Border States could tip the balance—either toward abolition or the continuation of slavery—depending on the outcome of political maneuvering and battlefield victories. Border States is a tactical game for 2 players, where each player commands one side. Your objective is to secure decisive victories that will persuade the Border States to support your cause. Success depends as much on reading your opponent’s intentions and bluffing effectively as on careful strategy. The game unfolds over 5 rounds, and victory can be achieved in one of two ways: by gaining control of enough State tokens for an immediate win, or by having the highest number of victory points at the end of the game.
