Codenames 2025 Edition (engl.) is a family game for 2 to 8 players aged 14+ with a playing time of 15 minutes. This edition refreshes the classic Codenames experience with a revised word list, beautiful art, a new insert for organization, and a streamlined rulebook, making it easier to teach and enjoy for both longtime fans and new players.

The new edition of Codenames renews the classic word-guessing game with updated features for an enhanced experience. It includes a revised word list that improves gameplay, stunning new artwork, and a redesigned insert to keep all components neatly organized. The streamlined rulebook makes it easier than ever to learn and teach the game, making this edition a great choice for both longtime fans and newcomers. In Codenames, two rival spymasters each know the secret identities of 25 agents. Their teammates only know these agents by their codenames—single, seemingly unrelated words like “chocolate,” “sunflower,” or “carrot.” The challenge is to give one-word clues that help your team identify all your agents first, while avoiding the assassin’s deadly identity. Quick thinking and teamwork are key to winning this clever and engaging party game.
