Beschreibung

Falling Sky: The Gallic Revolt Against Caesar 2nd Printing COIN Vol VI ist ein Expertenspiel.

Late summer, 54 BC. Julius Caesar has conquered Gaul through a series of brilliant and relentless campaigns, yet not all tribes are subdued. In the north, the Belgic chieftain Ambiorix ambushes unsuspecting legions while Caesar is away. In the south, a determined son of the Arverni strives to unite the Celtic tribes in rebellion against Roman rule. The Aedui, influential and seemingly loyal under Roman protection, may hold their own hidden ambitions. Meanwhile, Germanic warbands increase their presence along the Rhine.

Falling Sky immerses 1 to 4 players in the military struggles and intricate politics of Roman-occupied Gaul that has not yet been fully conquered. Caesar’s legions cannot be everywhere at once—they depend on strong alliances with local tribes. Each Gallic confederation pursues its own goals and must be wary of Romans as well as of rival Celtic, Belgic, and Germanic factions.

Players recruit forces, rally allies, manage resources for warfare, and carefully weigh the risks and rewards of dispersed actions versus concentrated battles. Built on GMT’s acclaimed COIN Series system, Falling Sky expertly blends historical events with diverse strategic choices across the map, delivering a rich experience of war, politics, and diplomacy.

A comprehensive solitaire mode allows solo players to challenge a variety of unique, game-controlled factions. From Britannia to the Rhine and down to Narbonensis, armies are on the move—who will ultimately bring Gaul under control?
