Last Lantern (engl.)

Beschreibung

Last Lantern (engl.) is a family game for 2 to 4 players aged 8+ with a playing time of 30 minutes. Players cooperatively place tiles and collect tokens to advance along a path toward the last lantern, using familiar powers to resist an isolating fog. The game challenges players to communicate non-verbally and improve teamwork over seven to nine rounds.

Last Lantern is a cooperative polyomino game blending set-collection and bag-building mechanics. Players take on the roles of canopy dwellers, working together to reach the fading last lantern by carefully placing tiles along their path. Using the unique powers of familiars, they must resist the encroaching isolating fog and strive to find a way to dispel it permanently.

Played over seven to nine rounds, each player silently selects a set consisting of a tile and a token. The tile extends their path towards the lantern, while the tokens grant three different abilities that can be activated to aid the group. Without direct communication, players interpret the board and tokens held by others, developing non-verbal strategies and improving teamwork with every playthrough.
