Beschreibung

Third Crusade (engl.) is a strategy game for 1 to 4 players aged 14+ with a playing time of 90 minutes. Command armies, build alliances, and perform pious feats in a card-driven war game set during the Third Crusade. Balance your power carefully to conquer regions, gain Glory, and outmaneuver your opponents in this intense historical conflict.

In Third Crusade, you take command of either the Muslim or Crusader alliance during the early 1190s, leading your armies in a strategic contest for control and glory. Manage your resources wisely, send emissaries to forge alliances, and perform acts of faith to maintain favor, all while carefully balancing your moves to avoid empowering your opponents. The game unfolds over three years, divided into four rounds, each consisting of five phases: 1. Strategy phase: Players place Event Cards on the Bidding Board and assign cards to opponents, influencing the number of command points available for executing orders. 2. Planning phase: Players take turns placing Orders until all have passed. 3. Command phase: Players alternate activating Event Cards or Orders, battling to conquer regions and earn Glory based on their success. 4. Diplomacy phase: Players bid for rewards on the Diplomacy Card and Board. 5. Upkeep phase: Players collect Glory and various resources. The first alliance to reach 10 Glory points ends the game, marking their dominance in this pivotal historical conflict.
